Abstract

In ancient India, the development of war science was very much and the invention of various weapons was invented. In the Vedic era, the main ordnance was in this way - bow-arrow, 1 rishi, 2 curb, 3 hundred, 4 parishes, 5 saber, 6 vajra 7 etc. Armor and helmet were used for self defense. More advanced weapons are mentioned in the Ramayana. There is mention of bow-arrow, mace, khadg, tomar, power, plastis etc. The word-piercing arrows, the lights, the Brahmastra etc. are described. Dashrath used the word 'Ardhabadi', Vishvamitra had taught Ram many divine weapons- zodiacalism etc. In the Ramayana, the substances available in the form of nature-stone stones, stems of trees etc. are also used as weapons. The parts of body parts, such as mishti, grapatika, nakhhat, dant pahar, pad pahar etc. were also used in wars.
