Abstract

An efficient green approach for the synthesis of Indazole using Glycerol as solvent has been reported. Silica supported sulphuric acid is reusable green catalyst and glycerol is found to be non-toxic and green solvent. No further purification is required.Substituted Compound 1 on stirring with hydrazine 2in presence of Glycerol gavecompound 3 with excellent yield. The structures of all the synthesized compounds have been confirmed by spectroscopic techniques.
