Abstract
He used to constantly try to lead a life as an economic person. His pharmaceutical science is an invaluable gift to Indian culture, it is known from a mantra that there were hundreds of bhishak (doctor) people in the then society, there in this code its name (pharmaceutical) is Veda. But the prominent sages of Arthveda were doing this work as the main business. Perhaps for this reason also Atharvaveda could not get the same respect as Vedatrayi. Atharvan and Angirasi medicines are mentioned in one place in Arthveda. In the Gopatha Brahmana, there is a description of treatment by the Angaras with the knowledge of mantra and by the Atharva with juicy medicines.
