The efficiency of 5-Amino-2-chloro-3-Picoloine (ACP) on preventing of mild steel material in 2N H2SO4 and 2N HCl in 2hrs at room temperature have been investigated using weight loss measurements studied. The efficiency of the inhibitor plays major role on minimizing the rate of corrosion in acidic medium. The values of the inhibition efficiency were calculated from this technique which shows a reasonably good agreement. These studies have shown that (ACP) is a good inhibitor in preventing corrosion on mild steel in 2N H2SO4 and in 2N HCl solutions at room temperature in 2 hrs. In 2N H2SO4 the inhibition efficiency was high than 2NHCl. Further the study was confirmed by Tafel studies.
