Abstract

Biodiesel is fuel made from sustainable biological resources that is used in diesel engines. It is said that biodiesel made from edible and non-edible feedstocks, such as soy, mahua, palm, and jatropha, is a viable option for developing nations like India. In this study, four-cylinder diesel engines operating at different loads are used to manufacture, analyze, and compare blends of smart biodiesel in various proportions with the performance of diesel fuel. Prior to blending, the five biodiesel raw oils undergo esterification (methyl esters). Without changing the engine's design, the esterified oils in biodiesel blends improve engine performance and emission characteristics while meeting essential fuel requirements. The exhaust gas, brake thermal efficiency, SFC, Exhaust gas temperature, CO, CO2, NOx and HC were to be analysed.
