A Report Water Quality Status in Chhattisgarh, India

This study is focused to precise on the Water Quality status in Chhattisgarh, India. Water is an indispensable natural resource on this earth on which all life depends. Quality of water available for drinking purpose is of great importance when public health is considered. Extensive studies have been carried out in different areas mainly in Raipur, Bhilai, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Korba, Balod district of Chhattisgarh. Specifically the contamination of water both surface and ground in Industrial and Coal Mining area are reported by many researchers The Assessment report reveals the presence of contaminations and specific ions like Arsenic, Fluoride, Some Heavy Metals are found above desirable limits, Physicochemical parameters are also above the permissible limit prescribed by (BIS, WHO) at some places. These contaminations cause severe health issues in people living in those areas. Various methods and techniques have been reported in the past, the appropriate water treatment technique developed indigenously can serve as great tool for solving the problem of contaminated water.
