Abstract

Bhaskaracharya or Bhaskara II (1114 - 1185) was a famous mathematician and astrologer of ancient India. The main scripture composed by him is Siddhanta Shiromani which has four parts called Lilavati, Algebra, Grahagnith and Goladhyay. These four parts are related to arithmetic, algebra, mathematics related to the motion of planets and shells respectively. Newton is credited with the discovery of the Earth's gravitational power (the power to pull matter) in the modern era. But very few people know that Bhaskaracharya has revealed the mystery of gravity many centuries before Newton. Bhaskaracharya has written about the gravity of the Earth in his' Siddhanthiromani 'text that' Earth draws celestial objects with a specific force. For this reason celestial bodies fall on the earth '. He also wrote another book called Karankautuhal. He was a well-known mathematician of his time. Allegedly, he was also the chairman of Ujjain's observatory. He is considered the best mathematician of medieval India.
