Abstract

The First World War was born out of the womb of imperialism. In Lenin's words, this world war was the climax of capitalism. In one of his articles, he wrote – Imperialism is the climax of capitalism. This war, being fought by some capitalist countries for the worldwide establishment of colonization and oppression, was also including Russia in itself. The Tsar of Russia, who himself remained a burden on his subjects, against whom the discontent was strong, tried to turn towards his blind-nationalism. Colonists used to ruthlessly exploit the oppressed castes and plundered their wealth.
