Abstract

Bhaktikal is considered a period from 1375 AD to 1700 AD. There were two sects in this period, the Nirgun Sampradaya and the Saguna Sampradaya. Poets of both communities wrote poems to test their strength. Kabir was a poet of the Nirguna sect and is considered a virtuous poet by Surdar and Tulsi. Devotional poems of Rama and Krishna were written in Saguna Sampradaya. In these poems, a glorious depiction of Mata Kaushalya and Mata Yashoda is presented, while Kaikeyi and Sumitra's character as the creators is no less important. That is, Bhaktikal offers a unique example of motherhood in Indian culture. In this research paper, Matrita Vatsalya has been presented in Bhaktikal.
