Abstract

The name of Phaniswarnath Renu is the most important among the regional novelists. He is the one who named his novel 'Maaila Aanchal'. Zonal words were included in Hindi criticism about both the name and the story of this novel. Renuji was born in a small village in Purnia district of Bihar province and had a heart-touching study and observation of all aspects of his state's life. No Hindi novelist had made such a complete and comprehensive assessment of the spatial and regional features as in the 'maila aanchal'. He established the identity of the region, and passing through its path with seriousness, has written in it - "It has flowers, also shool, dust, rose also, mud, sandalwood, beauty is also, Kurupata Too. I could not get away from anyone. ”The author himself says about the naming of his novel -“ There are many villages and towns in Purnia district, which are still bearing the burden of Nilhe Saheb on their names. In the deserted forests and plains, the ruins of Neel Kothi, even today, remind the forgotten stories of 'Naliyug' to the Rahi Batohis. . .. 'One such village is to go from' Meriganj 'Rothat station by crossing seven Kos east, Budhi Kosi. At the far edge of the old Kosi is a forest full of palm and palm trees. People of this region call it 'Nawabi Tanabana'.
