Abstract

In the view of Shankaracharya, education is that which brings liberation, Gandhi said that education helps in the all-round development of human body, mind and soul. The teacher is the maker of history and the history of the nation is written in the schools itself. It is pointless to compare schools and teachers. Looking at the condition of the society today, it seems that what is the lack in the teacher, which is questioned by the society today. Today a question mark is being raised on the teaching efficiency of the teacher, his working style. At present, the teacher interacts collectively with the students in the classrooms, the contribution of the teacher to the success of the students depends on the hard work of the teacher. It is not possible to assess with certainty how much they contribute outside the school to other factors such as parents or society. The impact of a teacher in the overall development of his students cannot be overstated. The purpose of this research study by the researcher is to study the teaching effectiveness of teachers working in secondary schools located in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, for this, 200 teachers have been selected by the researcher from government, funded and unfunded schools. To measure the effectiveness of teachers, Dr. P. Kumar and Dr. D.N. Using the certified scale developed by Mutha (1999), the mean, standard deviation and t-value were calculated for the statistical analysis.
