Abstract

Today we are living with many contradictions even in the twenty-first century. The country and society have made great progress in many areas. Government policies have become flexible regarding globalization and liberalization. Under these circumstances, the nature of media has also changed. Its scope and jurisdiction has increased further due to which it has now started focusing on the neglected and exploited people. We know that in a patriarchal country like India, women have always been on a second status and this status pushes them into the world of exploitation. Like many social reform movements, the media has also strengthened the democratic outlook by incorporating the reality of women's lives into the news.
